Burbage Gardening Club Annual Show 2018

Sat, 18 Aug 2018 16:30

Burbage Gardening Club's 72nd show is a must if you are interested in plants, flowers, vegetables, crafts, baking and a whole host of other things - even a children's section. It is open to the public at 4.30 at no cost - although you can make a voluntary contribution to our chosen charity. Come along and see for yourself - have a cup of tea with homemade cake or have a drink at our licensed bar.

Our charity this year is Silver Line which was set up by Esther Rantzen after her husband died when she realised how lonely older people can be. It is the only national free and confidential helpline for older people which is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. It offers information, advice and friendship through its helpline and services. Anyone over 55 can join Silver Line (0800 4708090 www.thesilverline.org.uk)
