Yoga for Difficult Times Workshop

Yoga for Difficult Times Workshop

Sat, 02 Apr 2022 09:30

A delicious morning of yoga to soothe your mind and body, and uplift your spirits. Suitable for all levels including complete beginners.

We'll start where you are now, slowly building our yoga practice from the ground up. We'll take a 15 minute break half way and the session will close with a deep and nourishing yoga nidra relaxation to refresh and restore your spirits.

If you're feeling anxious. overwhelmed and exhausted the kind of self-care and support you need to move on seems too far away to reach. It can feel like life has pinned you to the floor.

The fight and flight response to stress get all the attention, but there is another often forgotten element, your freeze response. It often happens when you feel powerless to take action to change the situation or deal with the stress. We can get stuck in this feeling but we'll explore how you can unwind and move on.

An energising yoga class with deeper, flowing movements like sun salutations to strengthen, energise and uplift if you prefer a stronger yoga practice. While this is a more energetic approach, there is still an emphasis being mindful, taking time to move with deep awareness of your body and breath so that you practice in a way that is right for you. You are free to choose different options and rest at any point.
