Fundraising fashion show for YoungDementia UK

Fundraising fashion show for YoungDementia UK

Top brand fashion at bargain prices will be modelled on a cat-walk then offered for sale at a charity show in Millennium Hall to raise money for YoungDementia UK.

The fundraising event, offering women's and children's wear from labels such as White Stuff, M&S Per Una and Monsoon, is to be held in the Britannia Road venue on Saturday 15th June from 6.30pm.

Tickets are limited, and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, costing £5 for adults and £3 for children.

There will be refreshments for sale and a fundraising raffle on the night, with a top prize of an overnight stay, a meal and a bottle of wine at Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel.

A separate children's raffle will offer prizes for younger show-goers.

The event is being organised by Burbage resident Christine Reddall, whose daughter Anna died aged 42 in 2017 after being diagnosed with a rare form of young dementia in 2012.

Mrs Reddall hopes to not only to raise money but also to increase awareness of the fact that it's not only older people who can be affected by the devastating condition.

YoungDementia UK is dedicated to supporting people aged from 30 to 65 to live a full life following a diagnosis of dementia, by offering one-to-one and family support, organisation social events and sharing information.

The fashion show, organised by Love Labels Fashion Shows, will run for about 45 minutes, after which the sale rails will be open for business.

Hundreds of surplus stock outfits will be available, mainly in women's sizes from 8 to 20 and children's ranges from 2 to 13 years, with savings of up to 75% on original store prices.

To make sure of a chance to grab a bargain, book your tickets by calling Chris Reddall on 07833 254062 or Lisa Wightman on 07554 694444 or call in to the Millennium Hall between 9am and 12noon, Monday to Friday.
