Walks for well-being

Walks for well-being

Walking for well-being is being encouraged by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council.

A seasonal programme of six rambles has been arranged to cover different parts of the borough between May and October.

It is being organised as part of the Changing Minds initiative, a multi-agency network promoting positive mental health.

The first walk is to be held around Burbage Common on Monday 13th May, starting at 11am and due to finish at about midday.

People are invited to meet outside the visitor centre from the Leicester Road entrance before setting off under the direction of a walk leader, who will aim to set a pace that is comfortable for all.

Walkers are encouraged to wear suitable clothing and footwear for a leisurely stroll.

Other planned walks are to start at Sutton Cheney wharf on 10th June, Bosworth Battlefield on 8th July, Shenton railway station on 12th August, Market Bosworth Country Park on 30th September and Dadlington village hall on 14th October.

Each will start at 11am and finish at about midday.
