Road closures approved for community events

Burbage Parish Council has been given approval for road closures and diversions to enable three of the parish's most popular community events to be held safely.

Leicestershire County Council, the highways authority for this area, has granted Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders relating to a Remembrance Sunday parade and open air service on November 10 (from 10am until midday), a Christmas street market on Friday November 29 (from 4pm until 10.30pm) and for Carols Around the Tree on Friday December 20 (from 6pm to 9pm).

Maps showing the approved road closures, diversions and no waiting zones can be viewed below.

More information will be given closer to each event and residents living near the affected areas will be reminded of the closures by letter.

The Parish Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by the temporary orders and thanks residents and visitors in advance for their co-operation in helping the events go ahead safely.
