Burbage policing update
Suspicious activity in area involving vehicles/persons:
We completed area searches for reported vehicles/persons in response to your calls including areas such as GROVE ROAD, ROBINSON WAY and CANBERRA WAY. Officers also completed a STOP CHECK on Tilton Road Park and discovered a small amount of Cannabis. Suspects were dealt with at scene.
Communication with residents around concerns in Burbage:
I have been out in Burbage this week continuing to sign up residents to Neighbourhood Link (got soaked but thanks to the residents that signed up). Please speak to your neighbours and friends and encourage them to sign up. We currently have over 1300 residents signed up in Burbage. The more people signed up, the more effective an appeal could be, more awareness around local crime trends and hopefully less victims of crime.
Over recent times we have been completing lots of crime reduction events and supporting residents with crime reduction. There has also been a lot of great work and investment by residents regarding crime reduction such as CCTV, alarms and driveway bollards. I would like to think that all this has contributed to the continued the really good crime figures in Burbage relating to residential burglary and vehicle theft. This work needs to continue so please stay vigilant.
This week in Burbage:
I am currently looking for information regarding some Anti-Social Behaviour around the Grange Drive/Hawthorn Crescent area of Burbage. If you have any information regarding eggs being thrown at a property in the area please get in touch.
