Burbage crime update from PCSO Darren Stretton

As a general overview for Burbage since the start of COVID-19 in March, we have had no reported residential burglaries (as far as I can find) and two car thefts in around 5 months. These were from Smithy lane and Sketchley road (keyless access).

Borough Council launches post-lockdown health guide

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has compiled a post-lockdown guide to improving physical health and mental wellbeing.

The guide is a compilation of information published in separate leaflets over recent months and includes advice on managing daily life after lockdown.

Heatwave conditions can be as dangerous for some people as freezing temperatures in winter.

Older people in particular are at risk of dehydration and heatstroke.

Low income households offered extra help

A scheme providing additional council tax help during the Covid-19 pandemic is benefitting working age households who are living on a low income.
