Suspicious activity in area involving vehicles/persons:

We completed area searches for reported vehicles/persons in response to your calls including areas such as GROVE ROAD, ROBINSON WAY and CANBERRA WAY. Officers also completed a STOP CHECK on Tilton Road Park and discovered a small amount of Cannabis. Suspects were dealt with at scene.

Police warn of social media scams

Leicestershire Police have warned of two current scams operating in the area.

The first involves people receiving scam messages through Facebook Messenger appearing to be from friends or family requesting use of the person's PayPal account to receive funds from the

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order on Burbage Common Road, Hinckley, from the junction with Burbage Common slip Road (Leicester Road) and the entrance for the car park on the bend on the 7th September for one day.

Rugby Road overnight closures from September 7

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order on Rugby Road, Burbage.

A temporary road closure and a temporary implementation of 40mph speed restriction are required on Rugby Road from the Three Pots Road roundabout to the M1 / M69 Junction 1 roundabout starting 7th September 2020 at 9pm.

Wide load now due through Burbage TODAY

Due to issues out of this area, the wide load due to have been travelling through Burbage on Monday was delayed.

It will now be travelling through Burbage using Lutterworth Road, Church Street and Hinckley Road TODAY, Tuesday 25th August between 1pm and 3.30pm.

People are asked to keep Church Street clear of parked vehicles to allow for safe transit.
