Businesses across Hinckley and Bosworth have begun to receive grants to support them through the coronavirus pandemic with more set to be paid this week.

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has been supporting local residents who are self isolating and have no support networks through a Resident Support Scheme.
So far over 700 residents and tenants have been contacted and assistance provided where needed through the council and the voluntary and community sector.

Residential burglary and theft of/from vehicle crime figures are very good this week, but please remember advice like not leaving items in your car or van. Lock gates and doors to your home, set the house alarm if you have one when you go out and try not to keep cash or jewellery lying around the house.

Criminals are targeting people with NHS scam emails. The NHS will NEVER ask you to send money directly to a bank account. If you would like to donate to the NHS, you should do so via their official channels or your local NHS Trust.

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has suspended its garden waste collection service until further notice.
It has pledged to keep this matter under continuous review and will resume the service as soon as it possibly can.

An election for a new Parish Councillor to fill a vacancy serving Burbage St Catherine's ward has been postponed, due to Coronavirus restrictions.
The election, which was due to be held in May this year, has now been scheduled to be held on May 6, 2021.
