Burbage policing update

In the early hours of the morning on Tuesday 12th October we received a call at around 04:25 regarding two suspicious persons shining torches into property/vehicles around Robinson Way. Officers attended and completed an area search, no one found in the area.

Burbage Road closure scheduled from today, October 11

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a road closure on Burbage Road, Burbage between the junction with Sapcote Road and property number 5 Burbage Road from 11th October 2021 for up to 4 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow CADENT GAS and their contractors to undertake required work to upgrade a gas main.

Another overall good week regarding crime in Burbage. We did though receive a report of a suspect checking through a vehicle on Cardinal Drive sometime between 2200 on 30th and 0300 on the 1st. No signs of forced entry and nothing taken. Remember to ensure your vehicle is always locked and secure, especially as we head towards the darker nights.

Road closure, Lutterworth Road & Church Street, for up to 7 nights

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a road closure and parking restrictions on Lutterworth Road and Church Street, Burbage, between the junction with the A5 and The Horsepool, from 4th October 2021 for up to 7 nights, Monday to Friday between 8pm and 6am.

The road will be closed from 4th – 8th October 2021 and then again from 10th and 11th October 2021.
