CHRISTMAS shopping in Hinckley will be given a boost once again this year with free car parking in selected town centre car parks on Saturdays in the run-up to Christmas.

Plans are progressing for Burbage Christmas Market on the evening of Friday November 26.
A road closure will be in place on Windsor Street from 3pm to 10.30pm on the day to allow for stalls and small fairground rides to be set up, with churches, pubs, businesses and community groups along the road and across the village offering extra festive attractions.

Tributes have been paid to a former Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth who has died aged 83.
Pamela Wills served as a Conservative councillor for the Higham and Stoke Golding area for a total of 16 years from 1979 to 1995 and was Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth twice, first in in 1986-1987 and again in 1994-1995.

Due to a shortage of HGV drivers today, Monday 15th November 2021, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has warned that some garden waste bins in Burbage will not be collected.
Residents are encouraged to put their bins out as usual.

For your information from today (Friday 12 Nov) the King Power Stadium will be transformed into a Covid-vaccination clinic for the weekend.
Doses 1 and 2 will be available along with dose 3 (booster), although people will need to bring proof of their eligibility for this dose.
