Hinckley's spectacular Christmas lights switch-on event will be making a very welcome return to Hinckley Town Centre later this month after the popular annual event had to be cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

The Council, in conjunction with the Royal British Legion Burbage branch, is pleased to be planning a Remembrance parade & service at the village war Memorial on Sunday November 14, after the 2020 event was required to be held virtually, due to lockdown.

A temporary COVID-19 clinic for 12-15-year-olds is being held TODAY at Hinckley Leisure Centre from 3.15pm – 7.15pm.
The clinic provides parents and carers of 12-15-year-olds with an additional option to vaccinate their child from the virus, alongside the school vaccination programme.

In the drive towards fossil fuel alternatives to power vehicles, the Borough Council is trialling an electric refuse and recycling bin lorry for waste collections this week.
The Dennis E-Collect Refuse Collection Vehicle will be with the council for one week and will collect garden waste bins in Hinckley and Burbage on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
