Burbage Parish Council's 2022 Chairman's Award has been presented to Steve Daly of Burbage Charity Bikes, which upcycles and sells donated cycles to raise money for Cure Leukaemia.

Please see below a copy of a letter from Highways England relating to M6 junction 1 to junction 4 combined maintenance work, and a copy of the associated M6 traffic management programme.
The documents have been sent to 2,429 local business and residential addresses and, further to this, Highways England will be engaging with strategic partners, road hauliers and emergency services.

Two incidents of theft of vehicle registration plates. One incident occurred around 20:40 on the 22nd of March around the location of Coventry Road and the other set were taken from a vehicle on the 23rd onto the 24th on Rugby Road. Victims vehicles were a Mercedes and Toyota.
I do have some anti-theft screws available for £1 per pack if you would like any.

Changes to waste collection and recycling services, aimed at cutting Leicestershire achieving net zero carbon by 2050 with only 5% of waste going to landfill by 2025, are being considered by the Councils who collect and process our waste and recycling.

The weather is picking up and we have the lovely spring sunshine on its way. With more people out and about this is just a reminder to keep to public footpaths and keep dogs on the lead and under control. With it being lambing season, it is important that dogs are not exercising over fields. A copy of the Countryside Code is attached.
