Road closure, The Fairway and The Meadway, April 1
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order affecting The Fairway and The Meadway. A road closure and parking restrictions are required on The Fairway and The Meadway between the junctions with Hinckley Road and Hillrise on the 1st April 2022 for one day.

‘Shakespeare in Hinckley’ celebrated at St George’s Day festivities
An exciting play telling a fictional tale of Shakespeare journeying to Hinckley will be performed at Argents Mead in Hinckley as part of a weekend to celebrate St George's Day festivities.

Purse and bag thefts in Hinckley town centre
Hinckley Town Neighbourhood Team Officers have recently been made aware of purse and bag thefts in the Town Centre.
Local Officers are advising visitors to the town centre to take extra care with their personal belongings and be vigilant.
Should anybody witness persons acting in a suspicious manner around their person in the town centre please can they contact the Police via 101.

A catalytic converter has been stolen from a Toyota Auris on Sketchley Grange hotel sometime between the 8th and 10th of March. Garden waste collection cost rises but existing users to receive a discount
Green-fingered residents who were affected by the disrupted garden waste collections last year will pay a reduced rate for this year's service.
The price for 2022-2023 has changed to £35. However, existing customers will pay a discounted rate of just £31.40 when they renew the service after experiencing disruption to their collections last year.

Burbage policing update
One of the stolen Ford Fiesta Titaniums that was stolen has been recovered and will hopefully be back with its rightful owner soon.

M69 carriageway works due to start in April
Essential safety maintenance works are to be carried out on the M69 between Junction 1 and Junction 21 of the M1.
The work will include upgrading the Vehicle Restraint System in the central reserve.
It is due to start on 25th April 2022 and is scheduled for completion by end September 2022.

A new campaign aimed at tackling unacceptable attitudes towards women has been launched by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire.
The You're Right, That's Wrong campaign is being supported by Leicester City Council, the Violence Reduction Network and Leicestershire Police.
