M69 carriageway works due to start in April

Essential safety maintenance works are to be carried out on the M69 between Junction 1 and Junction 21 of the M1.

The work will include upgrading the Vehicle Restraint System in the central reserve.

It is due to start on 25th April 2022 and is scheduled for completion by end September 2022.

To keep the programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise inconvenience and disruption to the local community, residents and road users, work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am Monday to Friday.

Please note that all planned works are subject to change due to weather conditions, significant events or unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a safe environment for both the workforce and road users, some lanes will need to be closed, however at least one lane will be kept running at all times.

If you would like further information, or have any questions about this scheme, please contact the National Highways Contact Centre, as follows:

National Highways apologises for any inconvenience caused and will do its very best to complete the work as quickly as possible, keeping disturbances and noise to a minimum.
